Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Scott Young
Dr. Scott Young spent more time in the dental chair growing up than most, and inconsistent childhood dental care and inability to pay led to pain and a fear of the dentist. He turned these early disadvantages into valuable assets later as a practicing dentist, when his ability to relate to and understand the needs of his patients helped him create an environment of trust and comfort.
Dr. Young graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2011 and joined Comfort Dental many years ago. He has been at the Federal Way Comfort Dental for more than five years and is looking to remain at this location long-term. Dr. Young provides fillings, crowns, implants, dentures, partials, root canals, and extractions, including wisdom teeth.
Dr. Young is the proud father of two beautiful daughters and loves everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer, from snowboarding at Whistler to hiking Mount Si.
Dr. Gregory Chinn
Dr. Gregory Chinn was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington and then attended the University of Southern California where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005. After dental school, Dr. Chinn and his wife Regina moved back to Seattle. He has been practicing dentistry in Washington for over 15 years. Dr. Chinn has donated his time over the years to the Medical Teams International Mobile Dental Clinic and participates in the annual Seattle/King County Clinic, providing free dental service to underserved populations in the region.
The rest of Dr. Chinn’s time is spent with his family, mainly his two active and energetic kids–his son Anderson and daughter Peyton. He enjoys traveling, reading, following Seattle’s local sports teams, and pretty much anything his children want him to do!
Dr. Steve Clawson
Dr. Steve Clawson graduated from the University of Utah in 2008 Magna Cum Laude with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He then attended dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating in 2012 and was inducted with honors into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. Dr. Clawson then attended the University of Colorado at Denver where he received his Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry Degree in Oral Biology.
During that three-year time Dr. Clawson worked in private practice as a general dentist gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Clawson is a member of the American Academy of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and Washington State Society of Orthodontists. He is also a Diplomate and is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
